Do you know someone who would be right for Assisted Living, but cannot afford it??

The Grace Morgan House offers several options for seniors who cannot afford private pay residency fees.  We are one of a small number of Assisted Livings in Massachusetts who do.

To qualify, a resident must have less than $2000 in assets and a gross income below $2270 per month. The same options can also work for families who have a limited amount of assets (e.g. $50,000) and would normally run out of money in a private pay only situation.  If they were to move into Grace Morgan House, they would pay privately until their asset level qualifies for a low income program and then we would help with the transition.

Once accepted by a program, the residents pays only their net income –$75. Unlike some ALs offering low income options, Grace Morgan House families are not required to contribute to the Resident’s cost of residency.

Traditionally, the Grace Morgan House has had a mix of about 50% private pay and 50% low income residents. As a result, we have over 13 years’ experience helping families and individuals who lack the resources to private pay. We also assist with applications for SSI-G / SSP benefits and VA programs if appropriate.

If you know of someone who might be right for assisted living, but lacks the resources to pay privately long term, please have them get in touch with us (or feel free to call us for more information).
